Description: the cells express glucose-6-phosphatase and weak canalicular ATPase activity; the cells form tumors in athymic nude mice; the cells contain a low level of functional estrogen receptor, and are inducible for the expression of the liver-specific apolipoproteinII (apoII) gene; the cell line is useful for transfection studies.
