Others: 1.菌株具耐氧性,培養過程不需要嚴格的厭氧條件。
2.生長培養使用Medium 1035,需在厭氧/光線充足(tungsten lamp)條件下培養。液體培養不需要使用厭氧缸,但容器需要使用培養基裝滿 (菌體為暗紅色)。平板培養需要使用厭氧缸 (菌落為細小、圓形、暗紅色)。確認生長(3-6天)後,需更換新鮮的培養基。
3.汙染檢測使用Medium 3 或 66,需在好氧黑暗條件下培養。培養3-6天後,觀察菌落特徵 (正常為圓形低凸、中心呈粉色)。

Van Niel's Yeast Agar

Adjust pH to 7.0-7.2. Autoclave at 121ºC.
1. Before inoculating, add 0.1 mL of 3% L-cysteine hydrochloride (sterilized by filtration or autoclave) per each 5 mL of medium and then fill the test tube to capacity with medium. Let the tube sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
2. Transfer the rehydrated pellet or the culture into the test tube and close tightly (The test tube should be filled to capacity with medium).
3. Incubate the broth culture at 30°C under a tungsten lamp (do not need to used anaerobic jars). Incubate the agar plate at 30°C under anaerobic conditions using anaerobic jars.
4. Once growth has been established (three to six days), the culture should be transferred to fresh broth. If a large inoculum is used (10-20%), the medium does not need to be pre-reduced.
